Alan Barnard

Golf Course Architect

Alan Barnard is credited as the golf course architect behind the Bluff National Park Golf Course in Durban, South Africa. The course was first planned by him in 1976, with the initial design phase laying the conceptual groundwork.

Construction based on his work advanced in the mid‑1980s, with the first nine holes opening in 1987 and the complete 18‑hole championship layout finished by 1989.
