” Baldock (1908–2000) began his career as a Class A PGA professional and irrigation specialist before transitioning into golf course architecture. He went on to design hundreds of affordable, sensible courses—especially in rural and small-town settings—often extending his services well beyond design into community support and economical builds.
" Baldock’s work includes the original nine holes of Lakeview Golf Course (Meridian, Idaho), which opened in 1978 (or 1979) with the back nine of the present 18-hole layout, assisted by his son Robert Lee Baldock. , including at the University of Idaho and numerous municipal and military courses.
