Golf Course Architect
Byron Nelson, best known as one of golf’s greatest professionals (1912–2006), also contributed to golf course design later in his life, lending his expertise and name to several projects including Hackberry Creek Country Club in Irving, Texas, which he co‑designed with Joe Finger in 1985. His design work appears limited to a handful of courses, typically reflecting his deep understanding of playability and routing rather than forming a full architectural career.
