Golf Course Architect
Chet Williams is a golf course architect based in Central Texas, noted for his work with Nicklaus Design—especially on Whispering Pines Golf Club, once ranked top in Texas—and now practicing under his own firm, Chet Williams Design. His portfolio includes both new designs, like the Covey course and nine‑hole resort layouts at Big Easy Ranch near Columbus, and notable renovations such as the 2018 Cypress Creek course overhaul at Champions Golf Club in Houston.
He also designed the Billy W. Williams Golf Practice Facility and Clubhouse in Waco and has overseen numerous practice facility master plans across Texas, demonstrating emphasis on playability, strategic green design, and integration with natural terrain.
