Golf Course Architect
D. Bagga is an Indian golf course architect and consultant who, after retiring from a military engineering career, devoted himself to designing and renovating several courses across India.
His approach emphasizes affordability, sustainability, and environmental harmony in making golf accessible. Known as “Colonel” Bagga, he has overseen projects including Kensville Golf & Country Club in Ahmedabad, Jammu Tawi Golf Course in Sidhra, and developments in Rajasthan, among others.
Additionally, Bagga redesigned and expanded Ranjitgarh Golf Club in Phillaur from a 9‑hole to an 18‑hole championship layout, incorporating modern irrigation and fast greens. His philosophy centers on recreating nature within golf design to preserve aesthetics and playability.
