Golf Course Architect
David Williams, a chartered architect trained at Bath University (class of 1974), transitioned into golf course design in the mid‑1980s, initially working as consultant architect to Neil Coles & Associates and for the PGA European Tour. In 1990, he founded David Williams Golf Design, through which he has since overseen more than 30 new courses across Europe and participated in restoration and renovation projects at over 200 clubs.
His work emphasizes detailed specifications, cost‑ and time‑efficiency, and integrating designs gently into the landscape. He is a former president of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects.
