Golf Course Architect
Ed Shearon is a golf course architect and landscape designer based in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. He founded Shearon Environmental Design in 1974 and later developed Shearon Golf to handle design, construction, and maintenance of golf courses in the Northeast US.
Raven’s Claw Golf Club in Limerick (2005) is one of his original 18-hole championship creations, designed to offer strategic, historic Philly-style play to daily‑fee golfers. Shearon often emphasizes natural terrain, sustainability, and multi‑skill accessibility in his work.
His Raven’s Claw design preserved natural topography, rock outcroppings, and existing vegetation, while providing visually striking and cleverly strategic holes—earning multiple mid‑Atlantic “Dream 18” recognitions and host status for professional events.
