Golf Course Architect
George Dillon is a golf course architect known primarily for designing The Waterfront Country Club in Moneta, Virginia, which opened in 1981. He previously worked under Tom Fazio before helping to form (or joining) the Fazio Design Group.
His work on The Waterfront Convention Country Club involved an initial “original 9‑hole loop” opening in 1981 (holes 1–8 and 18), with the remainder of the layout completed in 1984. Dillon’s design elegantly integrates rolling lakeside terrain and strategic water features, characteristic of Fazio‑influenced design.
