Gianni Albertini

Golf Course Architect

Gianni Albertini was an Italian golf course architect and prominent golf administrator, serving as President of the Italian Golf Federation. In 1971, during his tenure, he designed the scenic 9‑hole Elba Golf Club Acquabona on the Island of Elba—one of the first golf courses constructed on an Italian island.

His design embraced the natural hilly terrain, double tees, and created a challenging par‑68 layout amid panoramic coastal surroundings.
