Golf Course Architect
Jim Summers, originally a club professional based in Chico, California, transitioned into golf course architecture through a collaboration with influential golf figure Sandy Tatum. Though not widely documented beyond his regional work, he contributed notably to the design and construction of Northern California courses, bringing a construction-informed sensibility and a respect for natural terrain into his projects, such as Canyon Oaks Country Club.
