Golf Course Architect
Kevin Aldridge is an American golf course architect and builder based in Michigan, best known for designing the Blackshire Course (opened 2001) and The Gailes at Lakewood Shores Resort in Oscoda, Michigan. He developed a strong links-style aesthetic inspired by Scottish seaside courses, drawing on extensive study trips to Scotland alongside his father, Stan Aldridge.
He personally handled construction grading and shaping, bringing a hands‑on approach to his designs. Beyond Blackshire and The Gailes, he also designed Blackheath Golf Club in Rochester Hills, Michigan, and was involved in work at Indianwood Golf & Country Club early in his career under the mentorship of Bob Cupp following his graduation from Michigan State University.
