Kristine Kerr is a New Zealand–born landscape architect and golf course designer who founded Kura Golf Course Design in 2008. With a degree in Urban & Regional Planning and Landscape Architecture from Queensland University of Technology (1990), she gained early experience working with Nelson Wright Haworth in Singapore and collaborating with Gary Player Design across Europe and Asia.
Kerr has since led design and renovation projects on around 40 courses worldwide—in New Zealand, China, Italy, the Middle East, and beyond—specializing in masterplanning, strategic routing, and site-sensitive shaping. Notably, she orchestrated the comprehensive redesign of Waimairi Beach Golf Club after the 2010–11 Christchurch earthquakes, crafting 13 new holes, enhancing coastal character, improving playability, and repositioning the clubhouse strategically, with phased construction minimizing disruption.
