Golf Course Architect
Mark Love is a golf course designer based in St. Simons Island, Georgia, who co‑founded the architecture firms Love Enterprises (1994) and later Love Golf Design with his brother Davis Love III.
He brought firsthand playing experience and local insight to renovating and shaping Sea Island Golf Club’s Retreat Course (redesigned with Davis Love III starting in October 2000, reopened 2001) and contributed through Love Golf Design to updates at the Seaside Course restoration efforts. His background includes years as a caddie for his brother and playing golf collegiately at University of North Carolina and Valdosta State College, and working in golf instruction before turning full‑time to design.
