Golf Course Architect
Mel Graham is an American real estate developer who ventured into golf course creation by conceptualizing and developing World Tour Golf Links in Myrtle Beach. As president and CEO of Graham Enterprises—a firm he founded in 1978—Graham combined his entrepreneurial background with a deep appreciation for golf history, meticulously studying hundreds of iconic holes before selecting 27 to replicate across his unique 27‑hole layout.
While not a formally trained architect, his ambition and vision drove the course’s development into one of the most imaginative and celebrated designs on the Grand Strand. A nephew of evangelist Billy Graham, Mel Graham’s career has largely focused on residential, commercial, and golf course development rather than traditional course architecture.
His most distinctive contribution to the field remains the World Tour Golf Links, which offers golfers the chance to play signature holes from venues like Augusta National, St. Andrews, and Pine Valley—all within a single venue in Myrtle Beach.
