Golf Course Architect
Mike Young is a seasoned golf course architect whose design career began in the mid‑1980s. He established a reputation in the Southeast United States by creating or renovating numerous courses, most notably Links on the Bayou in Alexandria, Louisiana, and River Pointe Golf Club in Albany, Georgia.
The Alexandria course, completed in 2002, is celebrated as an American links‑style municipal layout and has earned recognition as Louisiana’s top municipal course. In Albany, his 1995 design along the Flint River features strategic wetlands‑based routing and has garnered regional “Best of the Best” honors.
