Golf Course Architect
Morris Hatalsky (born November 10, 1951) is better known as a former professional golfer on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour who later applied his golfing experience to designing golf courses. After retiring from competitive golf in the mid‑1990s, he conceived and oversaw the construction of Trillium Links & Lake Club’s 18‑hole championship layout in Cashiers, North Carolina, delivering a mountain course that works with the terrain and minimizes earth‑moving.
His design philosophy emphasizes following natural land contours, as evidenced by his routing and limited disturbance techniques on the Trillium property.
