Golf Course Architect
Theodore “Ted” McManus was a local advertising executive and golf enthusiast who, in 1928, laid out a private nine‑hole course on his 72‑acre farm in Bloomfield Hills—later becoming Stonycroft Hills Club—before leasing and eventually donating portions of the land. Little else is documented about his career as a golf‑course designer beyond this personal project.
