Golf Course Architect
Thomas Walker is an American golf course designer who spent six years as Vice President at Gary Player Design Company, then established his own firm and has crafted nearly 30 courses—mainly in the southeastern United States. His work includes the Founders Club at Pawleys Island (opened 2008), where he transformed an earlier layout into a visually striking, strategically challenging course reflecting Carolina Lowcountry landscapes.
He also designed Pendleton Golf Club in Ruther Glen, Virginia (opened 2007), noted for its creative mounding, Scottish links-like feel, and use of land contours with multiple tee options to challenge varied skill levels.
