Golf Course Architect
Tommy Horton (1941–2017) was an English professional golfer celebrated for his success on the European and Senior European Tours and for his contributions as a coach, broadcaster, author, and golf course designer. He was instrumental in establishing training programs for aspiring professionals and served in administrative roles for the European Tour and Senior Tour, earning an MBE for his services to the game.
Among his design work, he created Windlesham Golf Club in Surrey, England—opened in 1994—as a par‑72 championship parkland layout featuring gently sloping fairways, streams, mature trees, and a design aimed at challenging golfers of all levels.
