Golf Course Architect
William J. "Willie" Locke was a Scottish golf course architect active in the 1920s in California.
He is credited with designing the original layout of the course at what became Seascape Golf Club in Aptos (initially opened as Rio Del Mar Country Club, later Aptos Beach Country Club) beginning in 1925 with completion by 1928. His work also includes the original 1922 design of Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City, where Alister MacKenzie later updated much of the course.
