Bella Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 public course in Johnstown, Colorado, designed by Art Schaupeter and opened in 2025. The course occupies former dairy-farm land and uses roughly 200 feet of elevation change across its routing. The club says the design includes 50 bunkers, broad fairways and views toward Longs Peak, with the terrain becoming a significant part of the strategy on several holes.
The official hole guide identifies a mixture of par 3s, par 4s and par 5s, including three shorter par 4s and a downhill finishing par 5. Bella Ridge also operates a separate practice facility across County Road 44 from the main parking area. The practice complex includes a driving range and short-game and putting areas.

Bella Ridge represents a comparatively rare new-build golf project on Colorado's Front Range. The land had previously been used as a dairy farm by the Podtburg family before being developed as a public golf facility in Johnstown. Art Schaupeter was commissioned to design the course, which opened in 2025.
Schaupeter used the site's natural ridges and approximately 200 feet of elevation change to create movement through the course. The official hole descriptions repeatedly emphasize slopes, ridges, angles of approach and the ability to use the ground to move shots forward. The finished par-72 routing contains 50 bunkers and several holes where the preferred line is determined as much by contours as by hazards.
The golf course was accompanied by a substantial practice facility located across County Road 44 from the main clubhouse and parking area. The practice facility became operational after the course's initial development period.
Bella Ridge was included by Golf Digest among its coverage of the Best New Courses of 2025, and the project received coverage from Golf Course Architecture, Golf Course Industry, the Colorado Golf Association, Forbes and regional publications.
Bella Ridge operates as an 18-hole public golf course in Johnstown between the Denver and Fort Collins metropolitan areas. Tee-time prices are dynamically adjusted according to demand, time of day, day of week and booking lead time.
