Bothwell Castle Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland club in South Lanarkshire. Formed in 1922, it was officially opened by the Earl of Home on 16 June 1923. The original course occupied roughly 110 acres between Bothwell Castle and the village.
Housing development forced a major change after the property was sold in 1960: seven holes were lost and replacement holes were constructed on new ground, opening in 1973. The club subsequently bought the course in 1976 for £70,000. Today's white-tee layout measures 6,224 yards, plays to par 70 and is rated 70.4 with a slope of 124.

Local golfers formed Bothwell Castle Golf Club in 1922. The Earl of Home officially opened the 18-hole course on 16 June 1923 on a 110-acre property between Bothwell Castle and the village.
After the course was sold to a developer in 1960, housing proposals removed seven holes. Replacement ground was developed and the new section opened in 1973. The club purchased the course outright in 1976 for £70,000.
A fire destroyed the clubhouse in 2002, leading to a new centrally positioned clubhouse that opened in October 2004.
The club's 2014 Scottish Under-14 Open brought a national championship to Lanarkshire and attracted a field of 120 golfers including overseas competitors.
Bothwell Castle continues as an 18-hole members' club with visitor and open-competition access.
