Brautarholt Golf Club is on the Kjalarnes peninsula north of central Reykjavík. The established layout consists of 12 holes, par 45, routed over coastal terrain beside the sea. Icelandic golf architect Edwin Roald planned the course, with American shaper Michael Kelly also credited with its construction.
Published tee lengths for the 12-hole layout are 3,424 metres from the back tees, 3,191 metres from the club tees and 2,574 metres from the front tees. Golf Digest has described an expansion project involving six additional holes, but a reliable current source confirming that those holes are now in normal play was not located during this research pass. The club has traditionally allowed visitors during Iceland's golf season and has a small pro shop and café.
The course is a 12-hole links golf course. Designed by Michael Kelly and Edwin Roald, the course originally opened in 2012. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro shop, Cafe.
