The former Brynwood Golf & Country Club property at 568 Bedford Road in Armonk is now The Summit Club at Armonk. The site changed from the Canyon Club to Brynwood after a 2009 acquisition, then underwent a larger redevelopment and rebranding. Rees Jones began a comprehensive course renovation in 2020 that included rebuilding bunkers, reshaping landing areas and green complexes, adding tees and removing more than 400 trees.
The back nine was materially reconfigured, including three new holes. The resulting 18-hole course opened fully in 2021 and plays to approximately 6,700 yards and par 71. Because this is no longer merely a renamed version of the old Brynwood layout but a substantially reconstructed course operating under a different club identity, the database record should be flagged as historical rather than presented as an active Brynwood Golf & Country Club.
The course is an 18-hole golf course. It plays to par 71, 6,126m (6,700 yards). The course was designed by Rees Jones. It is a private members-only club. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Short Game Area, Pro Shop.
The property was formerly the Canyon Club before being acquired in 2009 and renamed Brynwood Golf & Country Club. It later became The Summit Club at Armonk. Rees Jones began a major renovation in 2020, reconfiguring the back nine and rebuilding substantial portions of the course.
The former Brynwood property now operates as the private Summit Club at Armonk; the redesigned 18-hole course opened fully in 2021.
