Chestfield Golf Club is an 18-hole members' club at Chestfield near Whitstable that welcomes visiting golfers throughout the year. Construction of the original Shrub Hill course began in late 1923 after local builder George Reeves commissioned James Braid and Abe Mitchell to design it. The course opened for play on 16 April 1924.
Its layout later changed substantially when the A299 Thanet Way was rerouted through the property. Donald Steel designed the resulting revised course, including six new greens, and that layout opened in June 2000. The course is a par 70 and occupies rolling ground between Whitstable, Herne Bay and Canterbury.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. Designed by James Braid and Abe Mitchell, the course originally opened in 1924. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Golf Lessons, Practice Facilities, Golf Simulator, Restaurant, Bar.

Ship owner Jack Billmeir purchased the club in 1938. After his death in 1963 the members acquired the course and buildings. The most substantial modern change followed the rerouting of the A299 Thanet Way.
Donald Steel designed a revised layout incorporating six new greens, which opened in June 2000.
Chestfield remains a members' golf club but welcomes visitor play. Its restored 15th-century clubhouse contains bars and a restaurant, while modern additions include professional and practice facilities.
