Copenhagen Golf Center occupies its present site in Vallensbæk, west of central Copenhagen. Publicly available historical material is limited, and no authoritative source located during this research gives a verified opening date or original architect for the course. A history published by Roskilde Golf Klub records that professional Tim Card became a trainer at Vallensbæk in 1998 and, two years later, became operator of the entire facility.
Danish environmental records list Copenhagen Golf Center Vallensbæk A/S with an establishment date of 21 April 1999, but this is a corporate or facility record and should not be treated as proof that the golf course itself opened on that date.
The current 18-hole course is a par-72 layout measuring 6,237 metres from its longest rated tees. VisitCopenhagen describes the terrain as gently rolling, with relatively open fairways, some tree-lined areas and modest changes in elevation. Ponds and streams affect several holes.
No credible source found attributes a particular design philosophy or routing concept to a named architect, so no architect-specific interpretation has been added.
By 2000, Tim Card had taken over operation of the Vallensbæk facility after first working there as a golf professional. The centre has since developed into a multi-part golf facility rather than simply an 18-hole course. It now includes a separate rated 9-hole Pay & Play course, a 42-bay driving range, covered TrackMan practice, indoor simulator golf, a pro shop and food-and-beverage facilities.
The Pay & Play course serves a different access model from the main course: anyone may use it without a DGU card, while green-fee play on the 18-hole course requires one.
Copenhagen Golf Center and CGC Golf Club operate in Vallensbæk Municipality in the Capital Region of Denmark. The club's official site lists both the 18-hole course and the 9-hole rated Pay & Play course as active facilities. dk/GolfBox or by telephone.
