Dalmahoy's West Course is the shorter of the two 18-hole courses at Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club outside Edinburgh. It is a parkland layout playing to par 68 and 5,168 yards from the white tees. Current rating data lists the white tees at 64.5/116, yellow at 64.0/115 and the women's red tees at 67.4/117.
Dalmahoy describes the layout as a mixture of shorter par fours and par threes together with several demanding par fours and a par five that is longer than any hole on the East Course. The routing passes close to the hotel, allowing shorter nine- or 13-hole rounds to be arranged. The wider golf operation provides a driving range, putting and short-game practice, professional instruction, equipment hire and a pro shop.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 68, 4,726m (5,168 yards), course rating 64.5 and slope rating 116. The course was designed by James Braid. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Function Room, Driving Range, Putting Green, Chipping Area, Pro Shop, Golf Instruction, Club Hire, Golf Buggy Hire, and 3 more.
The West is a shorter parkland test than Dalmahoy's East Course, mixing short par fours and par threes with several longer par fours and the longest par five across the resort's two courses.
The West operates as an 18-hole par-68 course and can also be shortened to nine or 13 holes because its routing repeatedly passes near the hotel.
