Drayton Park Golf Club at Drayton near Abingdon is an 18-hole parkland course that opened in 1993. The club's own account states that it was built by the late Michael F. McKenna and remains owned and run by the McKenna family, but specifically describes the golf course itself as Hawtree-designed.
That distinction means McKenna should not be retained as the course architect without evidence that he personally designed the routing. The property covers about 90 acres and is notably flat. Ginge Brook runs through the course, while four lakes and numerous bunkers form part of the layout.
