East Sussex National Golf Resort and Spa is a 36-hole golf resort near Uckfield in East Sussex. Its two distinct 18-hole courses, the East and West, were designed by American architect Robert E. Cupp and both play to par 72.
The resort's official golf page currently describes the East as a 7,081-yard stadium layout designed for tournament play and the West as a 7,154-yard course routed through mature oaks, pools and streams. The East Course hosted the European Open Championship twice. Because East Sussex National is a two-course facility, a single facility-level yardage, rating or slope would be misleading and has not been assigned.
The course is a 36-hole resort golf course. The course was designed by Robert Cupp. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Golf Academy, Pro Shop, Clubhouse, Hotel, Spa, Restaurant, Bar.
East Sussex National was conceived as a large-scale golf destination with two separate championship courses rather than a single club layout.
Robert E. Cupp designed the East as a stadium-style tournament course, while the West follows a more wooded routing through mature oaks and around water features.
Hotel, spa, academy and conference facilities were subsequently integrated with the two-course golf complex.
East Sussex National operates as a golf resort with two independently routed 18-hole courses, accommodation and extensive practice and hospitality facilities.
