Foothill Golf Course is a nine-hole par-3 public course at 7000 Verner Avenue in Citrus Heights, California. Sunrise Recreation and Park District owns the approximately 15.27-acre property, which is intended for short rounds and iron and short-game practice. The course has a clubhouse, snack bar and pro shop.
PGA Tour player Cameron Champ grew up playing at Foothill, and the Champ family now manages the operation through Champ Family Properties; it is also the home base of the Cameron Champ Foundation. Sunrise Recreation and Park District has owned the course since 1982 and has used concession agreements for its operation. The Cameron Champ Foundation was selected as the preferred operator in 2018, with the first Champ Family Properties operating agreement approved in 2019.
The course is a 9-hole golf course. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Clubhouse, Snack Bar, Picnic Area.
Sunrise Recreation and Park District has owned and operated the course since 1982, using a succession of concessionaires. In 2018 the district selected a proposal from the Cameron Champ Foundation, and in 2019 it approved an operating contract with Champ Family Properties. Subsequent agreements continued that relationship.
Foothill remains a nine-hole par-3 public facility managed by the Champ family and serves as the home base of the Cameron Champ Foundation. Walk-ons are accepted and tee times can be arranged by telephone.
