About Fußballgolf Sembach

Fußballgolf Sembach is a footgolf facility in Sembach, in the Kaiserslautern district of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Footgolf combines football (soccer) and golf: players kick a football toward a large hole at the end of each hole. The facility has operated since June 2021 on a site of more than 50,000 square meters and offers two 18-hole courses, a Premium course and a Fun course.

A round typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours on the Fun course and 1.5 to 2.5 hours on the Premium course. No special equipment is required; footballs are provided free of charge and players may also bring their own, though studded boots are not permitted. The facility is open Friday through Sunday, 11:00-18:00 (closed Monday-Thursday), with play outside these hours possible by phone arrangement.

The course is an 18-hole golf course. The course originally opened in 2021. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Grill Rental, Snack Bar.

Origins

Fußballgolf Sembach opened in June 2021 in Sembach, in the Kaiserslautern district of Rhineland-Palatinate, on a site of more than 50,000 square meters. The facility offers footgolf, a sport combining football (soccer) and golf in which players kick a football toward a large target hole at the end of each hole ("Bahn"). A round is typically played over 18 holes, on either of two courses: a "Premium" course and a "Fun" course.

According to the operator, organized footgolf tournaments have been played since 2006. The World Footballgolf Association (WFGA) was founded in Sweden the following year, and the German Footballgolf Association (Deutscher Fußballgolfverband, DFGV) is among its members; the sport now has regional, national, European, and world championships.
