Motorised carts, pull carts and club hire are all available on site, with members receiving discounted cart rates compared to visitors.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Café, Driving Range, Pro Shop, Golf Simulator, Restaurant, Bar, Golf Cart Rental, Club Hire, and 1 more.
Golf at Yaralla traces back to 1966, when Queensland Alumina Ltd (QAL) formed the Queensland Alumina Sports Club to organise sporting and social activities for its refinery employees and their families. The site itself began as a hostel for single construction workers, before QAL made several of its buildings available as interim clubrooms in 1969. Golf grew alongside the club's other sporting facilities on that same site, eventually becoming the 18-hole course it is today.
The club operated under QAL's umbrella for over two decades before becoming fully independent in 1992, rebranding as Yaralla Sports Club Inc. and opening membership beyond refinery employees for the first time. Broader renovations through the 2000s and 2010s, and hotel expansions in 2012 and 2024, grew Yaralla into the multi-sport community club it is today, with the golf course as one part of a wider offering alongside bowls, dining and accommodation.
