Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links is an 18-hole, par-72 public course in Little River, South Carolina. The official club credits Clyde Johnston as designer and dates the course to 1997. Although its design is described as a tribute to Donald Ross, Ross was not the architect.
The course runs among mature live oaks, marshland and the Intracoastal Waterway, with the closing stretch forming its best-known feature. The 9th and 18th holes share a double green near the water. The official course information lists 6,890 yards and a slope of 145 from the back tees and 6,446 yards with a slope of 137 from the men's tees.
The course is an 18-hole links golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,300m (6,890 yards), slope rating 145. Designed by Clyde B. Johnston, the course originally opened in 1997. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Pro Shop.
Clyde Johnston designed Glen Dornoch, which opened in 1997 as part of the Myrtle Beach-area golf market.
Johnston's design is explicitly described by the club as a tribute to Donald Ross. Small-scale strategic elements are combined with live oaks, marsh and waterway terrain, culminating in a demanding closing sequence beside the Intracoastal Waterway.
The final holes are repeatedly identified in golf coverage as the defining portion of the course, particularly the marsh carry at the 17th and waterway-side 18th.
Glen Dornoch operates as a public course within the Glens Golf Group and uses Champion Bermuda greens.
