Golf Club Verona is an 18-hole, par-72 parkland course at Sommacampagna in Veneto. The club was founded in 1963, when its original nine-hole course designed by John Harris was inaugurated. Growth of the club led to expansion and alteration during the following decade, with additional architectural work associated with Alvise Rossi Fioravanti and Baldovino Dassù and a reworking of the course between 1969 and 1971 by Giulio Cavalsani.
A contemporary golf guide lists the current course at 6,245 metres with a slope rating of 141. The property occupies the Custoza hills west of Verona, an area characterized by rolling terrain and vineyards. Its present 18-hole form therefore reflects several phases of development rather than a single untouched 1963 design.
