Gosnells Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course in Canning Vale, Perth, Western Australia, designed by Murray Dawson and set among natural bushland with manicured fairways and undulating greens. The men's tees play to a par of 70 (slope 121) and the women's tees to a par of 72 (slope 124). A member-owned club, Gosnells welcomes visiting golfers for green-fee golf on Mondays and offers a golf academy, practice facilities and a clubhouse restaurant open to members, guests and the public.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. It plays to par 70, 5,682m (6,214 yards), course rating 70 and slope rating 121. Designed by Murray Dawson, the course originally opened in 1946. It is semi-private, welcoming both members and visitors. On-site facilities include Restaurant, Full Membership, Junior Membership, Corporate Membership, Driving Range, Putting Green, Chipping Area, Practice Bunker, and 4 more.
Gosnells Golf Club traces its roots to a meeting of golf enthusiasts held in the Gosnells Hall on 13 August 1945, where the club was formally established. Its original 18-hole course, laid out at Maddington, opened on 19 May 1946 — a modest beginning that bore little resemblance to the club members enjoy today.
The move to the club's present site on Sandringham Promenade in Canning Vale grew out of a chance discovery. Athol Doig, working as a quarry engineer, came across the land in the course of his job and, together with club champion Lindsay George, judged it suitable for a golf course after a thorough on-site assessment. An application to the Gosnells Road Board saw the land, known as Jandakot AA 120, classified as a Class A Reserve for golf, and the new course was laid out by architect Murray Dawson with assistance from the WA Golf Association's Course Advisory panel.
A clubhouse to match the new course followed in 1962, with major renovations in 1993 and again in 2014, when the members' lounge and change rooms were refurbished.
The club recognises sustained contribution to Gosnells through Life Membership, an honour it has extended to six people since 1988: Jean B. Anderson, Allan Mackenzie, Sally Mackenzie, Lawrie Bennett, Allan Bradshaw and, most recently, Greg Rowden in 2024.
Gosnells operates today as a member-owned club that also welcomes visiting golfers for green-fee play on Mondays, alongside a golf academy, practice facilities and a clubhouse restaurant open to members, guests and the public. In August 2026 the club marked 80 years since that first round at Maddington with a gala celebration for its members and community.
