The modern Indian Wells Golf Resort was created around two new courses built in consecutive years. Clive Clark's Celebrity Course opened in 2006, followed by John Fought's Players Course in 2007.
Clark's Celebrity layout emphasizes undulating fairways and extensive water features, while Fought's Players Course deliberately provides a stylistic contrast through generous corridors, sculpted bunkering and a classic American design vocabulary.
The resort expanded its golf offering beyond the two 18-hole layouts with a seven-hole putting course designed for practice and group use, including nighttime play under lights.
Indian Wells has been notable in municipal-golf rankings, with both of its courses receiving national recognition.
The resort continues to operate both 18-hole courses as a public golf destination in Indian Wells.
