Inverness Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland club on Culcabock Road in Inverness, founded in 1883. Contemporary club and regional golf sources credit George Smith and J. J.
Fraser with the original design, with later alterations by five-time Open champion James Braid. The course occupies tree-lined parkland and the Mill Burn affects play on several holes. Current published scorecard sources do not agree perfectly on overall par, yardage and rating conventions, so this pass does not overwrite the database's existing par-69 figure with an uncertain alternative.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. Designed by George Smith and J. J. Fraser, the course originally opened in 1883. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Practice Ground, Putting Green, Short Game Area, Practice Bunker, Pro Shop, Golf Lessons, Club Hire, Restaurant, and 2 more.
Inverness Golf Club was established in 1883. George Smith and J. J.
Fraser are credited with designing the early course at Culcabock.
James Braid, five-time Open champion and one of Britain's most prolific golf architects, subsequently made alterations to the layout. A new clubhouse was completed in 1997.
