Jakarta Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-71 parkland course in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, and traces its organization to the Batavia Golf Club founded in 1872. It is widely identified as Indonesia's oldest golf club. The club did not begin at its present location: its early home was in the Gambir area of Batavia before it relocated to Rawamangun in 1934, and the Jakarta Golf Club name was adopted after Indonesian independence.
The present property occupies roughly 36 hectares in a heavily developed urban area and is characterized by mature trees, relatively tight playing corridors and numerous water features. Its historic significance therefore extends beyond the present routing itself. Current third-party visitor information describes play as generally requiring member accompaniment, although the club maintains an online booking facility.

The organization was founded in 1872 as Batavia Golf Club, during the Dutch colonial period. Historical accounts identify A. C.
Wilson among the founders. Its first location was in the Gambir area of Batavia rather than at the present Rawamangun property.
Urban development eventually forced the club to relocate. It moved to Rawamangun in 1934, where the modern club remains, and was renamed Jakarta Golf Club in 1950. The property has subsequently been maintained as an important green space within a densely developed part of Jakarta.
A substantial clubhouse and facility renovation was undertaken in 2010, accompanied by drainage work and the construction or enlargement of water-retention features.
Jakarta Golf Club is routinely identified in golf histories as Indonesia's oldest golf club and among the oldest surviving golf clubs in Asia.
