James Baird State Park Golf Course is located in Pleasant Valley, New York. Designed by golf architect Robert Trent Jones, the course features 18 holes on a fairly flat terrain that was once farmland. The course opened in 1948 and is situated within James Baird State Park, which was established after James Baird donated the land to New York State in 1939.
Notably, Hole 4 is the only Par 5 on the front nine, presenting challenges such as out-of-bounds areas and deep bunkers. All players must have their own set of golf clubs to enter the course.
