About King Valley Golf Course

King Valley Golf Course is a family-owned public course in Imler, Pennsylvania. The Knisely family developed the course on approximately 370 acres of former dairy farmland with golf professional and course designer Frank Kiraly. Construction began in the late 1990s, the first nine holes opened in spring 1999 and the second nine followed in 2000, creating the present 18-hole facility.

The Knisely family was directly involved in both construction and subsequent course maintenance and clubhouse operations. King Valley remains open to public play and provides online tee-time booking. Practice facilities include a driving range and putting green, and the club hosts leagues, tournaments and private events.

The course is an 18-hole golf course. Designed by Frank Kiraly, the course originally opened in 1999. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Putting Green, Clubhouse, Golf Cart Hire, Event Facilities.

Origins

King Valley grew from a Knisely family dairy property covering about 370 acres. Ben and Donna Knisely and their children invited golf professional and course designer Frank Kiraly to examine the land after developing the idea of creating a golf course. Kiraly supported the concept and worked with the family as construction proceeded.

Development

The first nine holes opened in spring 1999 while plans for the remaining nine continued. The second nine opened in 2000. Family members took direct roles in maintenance, greens work, accounting, payroll, licensing and clubhouse operations.

Later generations have remained involved in managing the course.

Today

King Valley continues as a family-owned and operated public golf course, with public tee times, tournaments, leagues, memberships, a driving range and putting green.
