Kintore Golf Club in Aberdeenshire dates to 1911. The original course contained nine holes on land leased through the local Burgh Council, and the club retains the driver used by J. E.
Sutherland MP to open the club on 10 September 1911. Kintore purchased its course in 1975 and subsequently undertook a long programme of development. Additional land at Balbithan was acquired in 1988 for construction of another nine holes, and the expanded 18-hole course opened in 1991.
The course is an 18-hole parkland golf course. The course originally opened in 1911. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Restaurant, Bar, Clubhouse.

The club purchased the course in 1975. A new clubhouse replaced the original corrugated-iron structure in 1981. In 1988 Kintore bought additional land at Balbithan and began constructing another nine holes; the resulting 18-hole course opened in 1991.
The clubhouse was extended again in 1995.
Kintore remains an 18-hole parkland club at Balbithan, with forestry and extensive tree planting forming much of the course backdrop.
