About Lazy Swan Golf & Country Club

The Swan Country Club, formerly known as The Lazy Swan Golf & Country Club, is an 18-hole public golf course at 1754 Old Kings Highway in Saugerties, New York. The club remains open to daily-fee public golfers and publishes comprehensive 2026 walking and cart rates.

Origins

Did You Know?

Design Philosophy

Jordan describes the course as using bold naturalistic landforms, large strategically interesting greens, elevation changes and man-made ponds, with subtle architectural influence from Donald Ross and Seth Raynor.

Development

Following positive reception of the first nine, additional land was acquired and Jordan designed the second nine, turning the project into an 18-hole course.

Recognition

Jordan identifies the project as his first complete 18-hole golf course.

Today

The property now operates as The Swan Country Club, an 18-hole public golf and event facility in Saugerties.
