Lee Golf Club

Lee Golf Club is a 9-hole course in Cochrane, in Northern Ontario, Canada, incorporated on December 10, 1930 by a group of local golf enthusiasts who held their inaugural meeting in February 1931. H. Eckhart and the Municipality of Cochrane, with fairway construction contracted to J.

Benjamin in 1931 and the greens designed that same year by Percy Hitchen of Haileybury Golf Club. The club purchased the property outright from the Eckhart estate in 1941 once its original lease expired, and has been maintained and improved ever since largely through volunteer labour and member donations — a tradition that continues under its current executive nearly a century later. The club sits at the end of Yonge Street and Highway 11 North, sharing its corner of Cochrane with the town's Polar Bear Express and Polar Bear Habitat attractions.
