Lexington Golf Club in Lexington, Massachusetts is a historic nine-hole private club whose origins date to 1895. The club's own history says it began in an old barn on the Munroe property and initially used a nine-hole course on the hill behind Munroe Tavern. In 1899 the club leased the Vaille Farm on Hill Street, later purchasing the property in 1906.
A historical account preserved by the club records the original nine holes with individual names including The Pines, The Orchard, The Hazard, The Basin, The Stone Wall, The Pasture, The Hill, The Stretch and The Trough. The early layout measured 2,316 yards. Lexington incorporated as Lexington Golf Club in January 1900 and developed its present private-club operation from those beginnings.
The course is a 9-hole golf course. The course originally opened in 1895. It is a private members-only club. On-site facilities include Clubhouse, Dining, Membership.
