Lochview became a focal point for national recognition of North Lanarkshire's community-golf work in 2026. Scottish Golf representatives visited the centre while assessing Active NL's programme, which had expanded golf participation through schools, junior coaching, programmes for people with additional support needs and initiatives for women and girls. North Lanarkshire Council subsequently announced that the Active NL Golf Team had won Community Team of the Year at the 2026 Scottish Golf Awards.
The council reported that more than 100 children regularly attended Lochview Academy and that 75 girls had participated in its Girls' Hub during the previous year.
Lochview remains an 18-hole public facility operated by North Lanarkshire Council through Active NL. The centre is open seven days a week and combines the main course with an 18-bay floodlit driving range, coaching, junior academy activities and practice facilities. PGA professional John Kelly is identified by Active NL as providing lessons ranging from junior programmes to one-to-one adult tuition.
The venue also has a café, Wi-Fi and free parking. Golf members receive access to both Lochview and Palacerigg, and Active NL's current terms instruct members to reserve tee times in advance through the Active NL app.
