Lookout Mountain Club's 18-hole course occupies high ground on Lookout Mountain, Georgia, near Chattanooga. Seth Raynor laid out the course in 1925 as the golf centerpiece of Garnet Carter's planned Fairyland resort community. Raynor died in January 1926 before the project was completed, and his associate Charles Banks supervised construction to completion in 1927.

The course is an 18-hole golf course. It plays to par 70, 6,127m (6,701 yards). Designed by Seth Raynor and Charles Banks, the course originally opened in 1927. It is a private members-only club. On-site facilities include Pro Shop, Clubhouse, Restaurant, Swimming Pool, Tennis, Pickleball, Fitness Facilities.
The course began as part of Garnet Carter's ambitious Fairyland resort development atop Lookout Mountain. Carter engaged Seth Raynor in 1925 after local golfer Scott Probasco Sr. recommended him.
Golf was intended as a central amenity in a resort community conceived in the tradition of destinations such as Pinehurst and The Greenbrier.

Difficult granite ground and Raynor's death prevented the original project from being executed fully as intended.
Charles Banks took over after Raynor died in 1926 and completed the course. Over subsequent decades greens contracted, bunkers lost definition and trees altered playing corridors. In 2022 Tyler Rae and Kyle Franz began a comprehensive reconstruction, with Benjamin Warren also contributing.
Greens were rebuilt and bunkers repositioned or recreated using Raynor's surviving plans. The work was completed in 2023.
Golf Digest selected the restoration as its Best Renovation for 2023. The club has also been recognized in Golfweek's classical-course rankings.
The golf operation is now part of Lookout Mountain Club, formed from the union of the historic golf and Fairyland clubs, and remains a private club.
