Manston Golf Centre in Ramsgate operates the Greensole Course, a 9-hole, par-33 pay-and-play course measuring 2,479 yards. The layout consists of six par-4 holes and three par-3s and can be played as either nine or eighteen holes. The facility also includes a floodlit driving range with Toptracer technology, a professional shop, golf coaching and club fitting, buggy hire, adventure golf and the Tenth Café & Bar.
Visitors do not need membership to play, while regular golfers can join membership categories that include WHS handicap eligibility and club competitions. Thanet District Council records the standard nine-hole course as dating from 2003, while the driving-range facility predates it. Manston publishes separate peak, off-peak and super-off-peak visitor prices for nine and eighteen holes, with additional junior and senior rates.
The course is a 9-hole executive golf course. It plays to par 33, 2,267m (2,479 yards). The course originally opened in 2003. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving Range, Toptracer, Pro Shop, Golf Lessons, Club Fitting, Café, Bar, Buggy Hire, and 2 more.
Manston developed as a multi-purpose golf centre rather than a traditional private members' club. Local-authority sports-facility records list the driving range as dating from 1995 and the standard nine-hole course from 2003.
The centre has expanded its practice and coaching operation around the Greensole Course. Its range is now floodlit and equipped with Toptracer, while the wider site includes professional retail, coaching, club fitting, adventure golf and food and beverage facilities.
The Greensole Course remains a public pay-and-play nine-hole layout with four tee options and the ability to book either nine or eighteen holes. Membership is also available for regular players.
