Marina Bay Golf Course was an 18-hole public golf course at Tanjong Rhu in Singapore. Designed by South African golf architect Phil Jacobs, it opened in November 2006 and played to par 72 over approximately 6,493 metres from the back tees. The course was notable as Singapore's only 18-hole fully public golf course and for a layout that included the country's unusual par-six fourth hole.
It also offered night golf and a large multi-storey driving range. Marina Bay operated for approximately 18 years under NTUC Club/NCI Golf. Its land lease was not renewed and the golf course permanently closed after its final day of play on 30 June 2024.
The course is an 18-hole golf course. It plays to par 72, 6,493m (7,101 yards). Designed by Phil Jacobs, the course originally opened in 2006. It is open to the public. On-site facilities include Driving range, Practice greens, Golf academy, Golf shop, Restaurant, Night golf.
Marina Bay was developed to provide public-access golf in Singapore and opened in November 2006. Operated by NCI Golf, a subsidiary of NTUC Club, it occupied leased land at Marina Bay/Tanjong Rhu and became the country's only fully public 18-hole course.
Phil Jacobs created a links-styled layout on the exposed site, using extensive bunkering and an unusual mix of hole lengths. The most distinctive feature was the par-six fourth hole, while night-lighting allowed rounds beyond normal daylight hours.
The facility operated for about 18 years. Singapore's long-term land-use plans meant the lease was not renewed, and the course played its final rounds on 30 June 2024.
During its operating life Marina Bay received recognition in Asian golf awards for public golf and value, while its public-access model made it unusual within Singapore's predominantly private-club golf market.
The golf course is permanently closed and the former site is intended for redevelopment. Historical information remains useful for archival purposes, but tee times are no longer available.
