Meru Valley Golf Resort in Ipoh, Perak is a 27-hole championship golf facility arranged as three separate nine-hole loops: Valley, Waterfall and River. Malaysian golf sources credit the design to Mohd Kamel Yassin and date the course to 1994. The three nines occupy rolling ground at the foot of the Kledang Saiong range and incorporate creeks, lakes and mature native trees.
From the longest published markers the Valley Nine measures 3,029 metres, Waterfall 3,232 metres and River approximately 3,040 metres. Because golfers play combinations of these loops, Meru Valley should not be assigned one universal 18-hole length or scorecard. The resort's official golf page confirms extensive practice facilities including a covered driving range, chipping and pitching areas, bunker practice and putting greens.

Meru Valley was developed in the foothills of the Kledang Saiong range outside Ipoh. Local designer Mohd Kamel Yassin created a 27-hole golf complex that opened during the 1990s and became the centrepiece of the wider Meru Valley residential and resort development.
The course is divided into Valley, Waterfall and River nines, each using the site's rolling terrain, waterways and vegetation differently. The arrangement allows multiple 18-hole combinations rather than a single fixed championship routing.
Over time the golf operation became part of a broader resort incorporating serviced accommodation, restaurants, recreation and wellness facilities. The golf practice infrastructure includes a covered range and dedicated short-game areas.
The resort has received Malaysian and regional golf-tourism recognition, including awards referenced by Meru Valley for golf tourism in 2018.
Meru Valley continues to operate all three nine-hole loops and accepts visiting golfers. Caddies are compulsory for guests under current promotional conditions.
