Mississippi National Golf Links is a 36-hole public golf facility in Red Wing, Minnesota, comprising two separate 18-hole courses: the Lowlands and Highlands. Both are credited to Gordon Cunningham, but they are distinct layouts and should be treated independently for scorecard purposes. The Lowlands is the longer of the two on the published blue cards, playing 6,489 yards to par 71, while the Highlands card plays 6,282 yards to par 71.
The two courses also differ substantially in terrain. The Highlands uses the property's larger elevation changes and requires longer travel between some holes; the Lowlands is less severe in elevation and is commonly used for competitive events. Mississippi National is open to public play and also provides a driving range and practice area.

Mississippi National was developed as a multi-course public golf property at Red Wing. Published course records date Gordon Cunningham's Highlands layout to 1986 and the Lowlands to 1987.
The two courses use the property's terrain differently. The Highlands emphasizes the site's pronounced elevation changes and has longer transitions, while the Lowlands uses comparatively gentler terrain and has become the more common competitive layout.
Mississippi National operates both courses from the same Red Wing facility and welcomes public play. Because the layouts have separate scorecards, ratings and routing, database records should retain their identities rather than treating the property as one 18-hole course.
